As the sun sets behind the fabled Isle of Capri, a
ferry approaches Amalfi. A dolphin breaks the
surface of the Mediterranean sea. It is time to raise a glass
of local Lacrima Cristi (tears of Christ) wine and toast another glorious day in Sorrento.

The Mare Villa with its extensive terrace is just above the
garages.

Villas Sole and Mare share a private stairway to the
sea that is found in the arched area at the lowest
level.
Villa Sole has four parking spaces, two inside
garages and two outside.

The wonderful terrace just goes on and on,
punctuated by graceful columns.

The outdoor dining room has a roof for comfort and
shade on the hottest days.

The swimming pool is up the few steps on the left of
this photo. The terrace is so large, it has been used
for weddings. Our visit was late on a November
afternoon. Sorry to say our photos suffered from both
aspects of the timing. Cushions for the terrace
furniture were already stored for the winter.

Comfortable cottage-style sofa and chairs tempt you
to look away from the ever present blue of the
Mediterranean and sky above.

Cool white walls of the inside dining area..

From the dining room towards bedrooms.

Pretty turquoise tiles carry through out the dining
and kitchen. Note the large refrigerator and diswasher.
The kitchen, too, has a view.

The master bedroom adjoins the living room.

Bathrooms sparkle with glass tiles. Note small
amenities such as the makeup mirror.

Sunset paints the view from the terrace towards Mass
Lubrense. Bougainville and other blossoms decorate the
villa.

Terrace view over the road, and sea.

The pool with a privacy fence is a liner-type, but
you don't see the sides and it is large and deep.
