Charming and romantic artist’s studio on the fifth floor
(American designation) of the building adjoining Palazzo Santa
Croce. It is also an ancient building but
because it doesn't have the historic
denomination of the neighboring building, a few
more things were done to it, for
example, the wonderful skylights in this
apartment that fill it with light.
This apartment was once the home and studio
of the famous Italian artist Pietro
Annigoni.
Elevator to third floor, 19 wooden steps to
apartment entrance; be sure you are ready to lug
your luggage up one floor.
The comfortable sized bedroom has a queen
size bed that can be divided into twins;
bathroom with shower. Windows overlooking the
Piazza Santa Croce and, in the near distance,
Brunelleschi's dome of the cathedral of
Florence. Original beams and
wooden columns let you know you are in Florence,
but the comfortable rattan furniture and
flowered fabric of the upholstery has a little
bit of a tropical feel.
The living-room and kitchen have a skylight with
a translucent shade that can reduce glare.
In the kitchen area, a fire can be set in the
old cooking fireplace.
Independent heating and central
air-conditioning.
Facilities : Washer/dryer, microwave oven,
toaster, American coffee maker, satellite TV,
stereo hi-fi, CD and DVD players, telephone,
high speed internet answering machine, fax machine, hair dryer, iron
and ironing board. Use of Palazzo private Gym.
